I am an accomplished strategy executive operating at the C-suite level who has played a key role in developing and shaping the low-carbon energy strategy of bp, one of the world’s leading energy companies.

Experience
Vice President Gas and Low Carbon Energy, bp 2020 - 2024
Leader of the renewables and bioenergy strategy teams within BP’s central strategy team. Led the development of bp’s renewables and bioenergy strategies, both key elements of bp’s 2020 transition strategy (IOC to an IEC- integrated energy company). Supported and advised the business in the “operationalization” of bp's bioenergy strategy across SAF, biogas and Brazilian sugarcane ethanol, including both organic and inorganic elements. Led bp’s novel bio-feedstock strategy, including partnership and business implementation, creating the potential of a new multi $bn business and underpinning bp’s bio SAF business strategy.Led team to develop BP’s offshore wind and solar strategies setting out the business, financial and operational approach to achieve bp’s 2030 renewable target.
HEAD OF STRATEGY & PORTFOLIO, bp Alternative Energy 2017 - 2020
Led portfolio team tasked with the development and revitalization of bp’s alternative energy strategy across renewables, hydrogen and biofuels. Led the development of “Alternative Energy 3.0 strategy” tasked with the reinvigoration of bp’s renewables and biofuel portfolio, aimed at creating scale positions. Led the strategy work underpinning bp’s re-entry into solar and the Lightsource bp partnership. Led a review of offshore wind, convincing the bp executive’s team of the opportunity. Established a partnership with an offshore wind major to participate in bp’s 1st offshore wind auction. Platformed the Technology Strategy and interfaced with bp ventures to drive venture investments in digital technologies in peer-to-peer trading, EaaS and digital wind and solar.
HEAD OF STRATEGY AND MARKET ANALYTICS, bp biofuels 2013 - 2017
Led strategy and market analytics team for BP biofuels. Developed bp biofuels overarching strategy and implementation business strategies across the core pillars of Brazilian sugarcane ethanol, advanced 2nd generation cellulosic ethanol and other advanced biofuel technologies. Supported bp biofuels CEO in bp C-suite engagement. Directed biofuel market analysis team to provide leading edge analysis in a complex and rapidly emerging sector. Directed BP biofuels sustainability strategy and emerging issue management.
Chair & Vice Chair, Bonsucro 2011 - 2015
Headed the board of directors of Bonsucro ultimately responsible for all actions and activity of Bonsucro. Led the organisation's early growth phase into a fully fledged global sustainability initiative for sugarcane. Acted as the figurehead for the organisation at events, AGMs. Provided strategic, financial and organisational guidance to the CEO and team. Recruited and onboarded new CEO.Headed the board of directors of Bonsucro ultimately responsible for all actions and activity of Bonsucro. Led the organisation's early growth phase into a fully fledged global sustainability initiative for sugarcane. Acted as the figurehead for the organisation at events, AGMs. Provided strategic, financial and organisational guidance to the CEO and team. Recruited and onboarded new CEO.
